I disagree with this statement because if this were true then why are decisions and choices hard? There are obvious things that are right and wrong, but the reasons for doing them can change whether or not we are doing the right thing or the wrong thing. For example, stealing is wrong, but if a life depends on it then does the end justify the means? Does the reason make it honorable or not?
When we are younger, life is black and white. We are told what to do and what not to do, and at that age, its pretty straight forward and clear. But as we get older we start to question the difference between right and wrong and our views of life start to change. Suddenly its not black and white, but we find ourselves in a grey world. We lose our ability to differentiate between the good and the bad because of the influence of the world around us, such as religion, society, culture, traditions, and people in positions of authority.
I grew up with a set of morals. My father was a pastor and very active in the church, but over the years I and all my family have gone through changes that make us question a lot of what we call unmoral or unethical. Right and wrong is all in the perspective of the person. Its all relevant, and because of this, choices are always going to be hard to make. I guess we just have to deal with it and hope what we do in life is for the best.
